Festejamos un año con Pink Floyd

Antes que nada queremos agradecerles a cada uno de los que paso alguna vez por el blog ya que hoy (3 de marzo) cumplimos un año desde que comenzamos y subimos nuestro primer post! Si cada día este pequeño espacio crece es sin dudas por ustedes, así que estamos más que agradecidos. I thank you with all of my heart…

Para festejar era hora de cerrar la trilogía correspondiente a Pink Floyd. En octubre pasado habíamos subido la remasterización de The Dark Side Of The Moon y en noviembre fue el turno de Wish You Were Here. Hace unos días (27 de febrero) se editó en todo el mundo el Box Set de The Wall en diferentes versiones (Discovery, Experience e Immersion). Además a pocos días de que Roger Waters venga a nuestro país a presentar su mejor obra en nueve shows en River (7, 9, 10, 12, 14, 15, 17, 18 y 20 de marzo) el post de hoy adquiere un mayor valor.

La edición que más nos interesa es la Immersion y es la que hoy subimos. Este increíble Box set incluye un libro de fotos, varios escritos por la banda, las ya clásicas curiosidades y un total de siete discos (seis CDs y un DVD).

Los dos primeros CDs contienen el álbum original que todos conocemos editado en 1979 y reeditado para la ocasión. Los discos 3 y 4 presentan Is There Anybody Out There? (el álbum en vivo de la gira de The Wall entre 1980 y 1981 que se publicó en el 2000) y los últimos dos, 5 y 6, son quizás los más valiosos porque contienen los demos inéditos realizados por Roger Waters entre 1977 y 1979 desde las primeras sesiones en el cuarto del bajista hasta las mezclas finales con la banda en el otoño de 1979. También se incluye una sección de demos perteneciente a David Gilmour.

El disco siete, el DVD, por su parte contiene un reciente documental sobre la creación del legendario álbum de Pink Floyd y una entrevista con Gerald Scarfe, encargado del arte de tapa de The Wall.

Mientras esperamos ansiosamente por los shows de Roger Waters en River en Lovers of Fucking Rock te dejamos el Box Set para que puedas escucharlo y disfrutarlo.
